I signed up to be on a city league basketball team and I have to 3 weeks to practice for the tryouts. I need some really good basketball exercises to prepare for the team, especially with my dribbling. I also need help to increase my stamina.

I’m not a fan of basketball but a lot of my friends are and watching them play and get competitive is fun to me. So i came up with the idea to throw a basketball tournament next year at a local park. So how do I go about this? Also, if you like, tell me what things to have that will make it fun and interesting such as prizes, trophies, food and drinks and more. Thanks to those who answer seriously in advance.

In basketball practice I’m always getting called for double dribbling I think( I’m relatively new to basketball). But I would stop dribbling, hold the ball, and re-dribble with one hand. How is this against the rules?
Sorry, I r new to basketball.

I was thinking of purchasing some work shoes for my custodian job but was wondering if just even, basketball shoes would do well. I would like actual work boots but they are just too expensive. I figure basketball shoes because they are made to have good traction on smooth surfaces. Well, I do not know about wet surfaces just yet. The only thing is getting them wet.

I have just bought a basketball and i was wondering roughly how long the grip would last if i played, e.g 15 hours a week on concrete? I don’t want to have to buy a new basketball after just a couple of months because i want my basketball to have a good grip and not be slippery? I will be doing a lot of dribbling, so the basketball will come in contact with the concrete a lot.

I would like to know the best performance shoe for 11 years old for basketball.
I don’t care about the price- just looking for quality.
