College:
Three point line is at about 20.1 feet
The average height of players is lower than that of the NBA
Players don’t get paid, just get scholarships to play for a school
They have tournaments which are single elimination to determine who is the best in the country
The NCAA tournament is widely considered the greatest part of the sports calendar because of the parody and intensity displayed in each game.
Pro Basketball:
Players make money for playing basketball
the level of skill is much higher than in college
players tend to be taller in the NBA.
3 point line in the NBA is at about 23 feet.
Playoffs are normally 7 games, winner winning atleast 4 out of 7 games for 4 rounds until a champion is crowned.
NBA season has 82 games + playoffs compared to colege which has about 30 regular season games + the championship torunaments.
1. You need to be in college with good grades to play in college basketball.
You can come out of high scool for pro basketball.
2. College players get benefits for their education, Pro players get PAID.
3. More people watch pro ball because it’s faster paced and more entertaining.
and there are many more
Pros are more skilled and actually get paid alot.
College players make no income and are not even allowed to endorse anything for money.
college: they play w/out being pay and they play for the top rankings and braging rights!
nba: average player makes 1 million a year, a super star like kobe bryant and lebron james like 5 million a year or more! they play the championship ring.
There are lots of things that make the two distinctly different.
1. The three point line is further back in pro-basketball.
2. You are allowed one extra foul in pro-basketball.
3. And you apparently can "get-away" with some of the rules in pro-basketball.
The website I referenced is an excellent source for your project!
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
both are big business except one gets paid a lot of money and the other gets paid nothing
1. Pro players get paid, college players don’t.
2. College players aren’t getting endorsement deals(it’s illegal by NCAA rules).
3. You get away with a lot more on the court in the NBA than you do in college(guys commit traveling fouls all the time in the NBA, but it never gets called, & if it does it rarely happens).
College Basketball uses a 30-35 second shot clock, while Pro Basketball only uses 24 seconds.
their are 4 quarters in nba and 2 quarters in college. college has a tournament nba has playoffs
