Every single time I go to the store and I get a volleyball they always end up hard and hurt my arms. I know there are softer volleyballs because that’s what we use at volleyball practice but I can’t seem to find any. Now I’m going to a volleyball camp and we have to bring our own volleyball, I was wondering if anybody knew any good, softer volleyballs. Any suggestions are welcome!!!! Thank you.

you want to look at spike nashbar or another volleyball website and get a Molten Super Touch or Tachakara SV-5W Gold ball. They are both pretty expensive but they are the best balls and will last you a long time. They should stay sft for you and not hurt so much. Also the more you play the less you’ll notice the soreness on your arms.
Hope that helps
I think that the volleyballs get softer over time after you use them for a certain period of time.
have you ever tried rubber volleyballs?
they actually work good for me.
Mikasa is a great brand. They have padded balls for indoor volleyball.
The leather-type balls are for outdoor volleyball.
If you’re younger, ask a salesperson for a lighter ball with a thinner skin. They have volleyballs for different age groups. Good luck!
sometimes volleyballs are hard because you put too much air in them. but there are some that dont hurt your arms. if you go maybe to sports authority or mc sports they might have a good volleyball that is more like the ones you used at volleyball practice.another reason they might be too hard is because it is a beach or sand volleyball. i would by the wilson brand or baden brand. i have volleyball camp in august too. good luck finding a good volleyball, and have fun at camp.
I have the same problem! i think that letting out some of the air will help it, or getting a kind that says on the box softer feel or just with lots of use it will get softer.
Just go to ‘Sports Chalet’ or ‘Big 5′.
They’re a great help.
i recommend using a Molton volleyball there soft and a very good quality. you can get them at a sports store or you can order them online at http://www.spikevolleyball.com they have many different types and colors too
molten super touch will be good… people are stupid, all leather balls are not for outdoor. using padded balls is not real volleyball in my opinion…
OH MY GOSH! I had the same problem. and i cant serve with that hard ball. try to find a camp that gives you a free ball or go online… some good brands are wilson and tachikara. they are not hard balls. i got a free ball from my camp. it was good and soft..but it tore cause it took quite a beating. I bounced it on cement walls and on the tennis court, on brick walls. so yeah. good luck finding your ball!
VolleyLite volleyballs don’t hurt your arms at all.
wilson is good…
well most of the time you have to get the $40 mikasa volleyballs. every time i get a wilson volleyball i have the same problem. hope i helped.
your arms will get use to it and the only reason they are softer is because they are worn from use.
