a thing that your volley ball coach is looking for is not only skill but that you can work with him and them team well so try to interact with the people more if you can to show you can help and be a good leader.
pass pass pass practice practice practice
When I first started playing volleyball i would practice passing by passing back and forth to myself off of the wall. To practice setting, place your elbows on the wall, make the shape of a triangle with cupped hands when you look up, and practice tipping the ball off the pads of your fingertips quickly off the wall. practice your spike approach. at the ten-foot line, start with your hands in front of you taking a big stride with your left foot. as you lift up your right foot for the second step, start to bring your hands back. then, quickly bring your left foot together with the right and swing all the way through. use your opposite hitting hand as a guide. make sure to snap you wrist. when passing, be sure to use your legs for power, not your arms. DON’T SWING YOUR ARMS!! coaches HATE that!! Same thing for setting. The majority of the power should come from your legs. when you serve, be sure to keep an open hand and contact the ball at a point high enough to get it over. ( usually just a tad shorter than as high as you can reach. your arm should have a slight bend to it) try your best, don’t give up, and have fun!!! hope this helps and good luck!!!
